As an artist, Ambika does not set out to achieve a specific thing, perhaps catch a feeling, an emotion! Call it layered painting, abstract, intuitive or whatever you want . She likes to go with the flow and let her brush do the talking. Her painting for her is not an allegory or a story, it is more of a poem.

Reflections Series
As Ambika is mainly motivated by impulse and spontaneity, this series was created mainly as an ode to that.
Main purpose of reflections is: exploring, experimenting and creating for joy.

Every face tells a story…. As an artist Ambika is always on an ongoing quest for finding a higher purpose in life while having fun….The series of ‘A girl‘ is figment of her imagination.
She is inspired by all women who are strong, multi faceted and multi talented.These paintings are somewhere between naivety, realism and imagination .She has tried to capture dramatisation of human emotions combined with anxieties of modern day lifestyle.
In these paintings she has tried to push the boundaries of ideal beauty giving them silliness that definitely needs to be celebrated in everyday life.
